Time To Organize! Dollar Tree Items

When walking  into an empty home/apt when searching for a new home, I find I love knowing of the clean and freshness of starting over. I can picture my own items in this space.  After finding the place to live in, I then unpack and find a place for everything.  I am happy now!!! Then life takes over, and other members have their own concept of organization or they don't :)
So as things become dis-ray, I become discourage.  Work, Time, Committments add up and my haven becomes piled up!

But now is the time to get moving. After an answered prayer of "just begin and get started", I then started  my first plot...the dresser!!! So one late night out comes the sock drawer (I was a sockaholic) not kidding,  I had socks from the 80s-90s~craaaazzzzy now that I think about it.  So I happily organized them! Yeah and double Yeah!  Now comes the feeling, of what else next to organize, I am excited. Now onto the rest of the dresser...& under that bathroom sinks and cabinet drawers. Ridding many items of time not treasures. Also, getting a new view on what I have.

Finally I wanted a few organizing items, but not costly items.  So off the Dollar Tree I go and  what fun that turned into.  I found items for my office and the beginning of turning my son's room into a big 2 year old room!
here is the video to show a quick easy way (to get ya thinking) of what you can do what ever your budget is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcKLPqMtNfE&feature=g-upl

I  have also found as I am detoxing the home, a few storage containers in the process.  That was a nice unexpected help to keep cost.
I hope you can see a quick project to do that will help in any way! I can say it has been fun and I love see the creativity and cleansing unfolding!  I will be posting more ideas.  Whether it is being healthy, excercising, or organizing...it is all good!

Just came off another 9 day fast....

Wow! Loved this fast...so much easier than the last.  I knew I wanted to do another fast, but for spiritual reasons this time! Well my facebook is a collection of family and friends, but I have created my very own "FB newworthy paper" so I can read only what is meaningful to me.

After liking "Brad's Raw Foods" he had posted a 7 day challenge.  Really? Yes! I am in. My husband went to Whole Foods in search for Brad's Raw Chips...and what a blessing that became. I kept them at work and grabbed the bag as needed!

Since my last posting I had purchased and Excalibur Dehydrator (happy dance here).  So I was much more prepared this time because of my Dehydrator. I have made Garlic Zucchini Chips, Dried Apples, Kale Chips with Nacho Cashew Cheese http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAc0R7UmzYc  and much more. After finishing this challenge, I felt fantastic! This time I had the support and more raw recipes that are needed.  Make it a great day :)

Day 9! Raw Food Fast

As the title says, Day 9! I passed my 7 day fast with Raw foods.  As much as I am missing my cooked and dense meals...I am enjoying the foods I am eating.
My Easy Raw Granola       has been the closest texture for me at this time.  I have enjoyed this for breakfast and for snacks.  Smoothies are almost daily now.  The home is now officially a juice/smoothie bar! It also has been back to basics of just grabbing a peach or berries to snack on.  My snacks would have been a vegan processed cookie ~ not bad but glad to up the game in the energy of raw foods!  Now eating raw vegan cookies with cranberries.

I have lost about 3 lbs which is safe. I didn't want to do this for weightloss (even though a bonus) but wanted to just clean it up even more.  I needed a push to feel even better and knew I could.

Planning is the best tool!  So on the next raw food fast, I will definitly have a list of meals planned.  What my mind is saying over and over is, "if I had a dehydrator or vita-mix", HA!! Never ends but looking forward to crackers/pizzas etc.  The brain though, is saying keep on until and you will share this with other!

keep it simple and have fun! blessings ;)

Day 3 of my Raw Food Fast!

Okay! So here I am, a new morning with so much I have owned up to when it comes to eating.  I see how I catch myself  wanting to mindlessly eat.  I believe if you can't tell me I can't ....I might find a way.  What a great way to see/keep my self in "check"!  I really had to be creative.  Being a Vegan with cooked/raw foods is a great way to get through any day. I have had so much fun cooking, juicing and creating a much healthier version of my favorite foods. But going Raw for this week has been at times a challenge.  My hat is off to those who have more will power to stay in this form of eating.

My menu for this week has been Raspberry and Mint Smoothies, Broccoli Salad with dried cranberries, Alfredo Zucchini Noodles...so yummy!  My goal is to not eat the same thing every day. (creature of habit),  even though I am tempted.

My snacks have been fruit~ ANY!  I am spoiled by those health bars...so I having them around to grab anytime...but now...it is fruit.
Staring at my son's Vegan cookies that are in our fruit bowl...has truly been the biggest temptation...oh just one bite! Right! Not! So then I remembered...aha, let's make my raw vegan choc chip no bake cookies (in about five minutes!) I was saved from above ;)  These are very easy, quick and did the trick.  Here  is the recipe below:

Shopping has been so interesting too. Shopping only in the nuts, vege and fruit isles...what a snap.  Now off to home with a beat in my step, so now my thougts are of course  I can do this :)

My son helps me with the food processor and I chase my husband around...asking him to "try this honey"!  I even exercised first thing (arms) this morning before beginning the day.  Fun in the kitchen...They say it is the "nuturing" part of the home!  So make it a great day! Add a vege or fruit and do something good for yourself.

My Raw Food Challenge 7 days!

I am so ready for summer! Which means my transition for the "Raw Food Challenge" can begin. I have so wanted do this for a while. I have found my biggest obstacle is planning the meals for dinner before I arrive home from work. Having my snacks ready to go daily, will be easy, but the meals may require work at times.

Energy is the biggest goal. Which I feel I have more since going vegan 99% of the time. But I know I can feel even better.  Life is so busy and I want to be a good soldier of life and a happier one!

So as of tomorrow day one, I will begin.  I hope to share my progress, highs and lows and a few fun meals and smoothies etc.

Today was my pre-challenge day...and started with my Raspberry Cacao Bliss http://youtu.be/mec1xI4qbLE  and what a great way to start the day! I also pulled out white bean hummus and carrots.
I even watched a few YouTube Videos to work out on my breaks! Talk about raising your endorphins!  So simple and fun ;)

My Vegetarian/Vegan Journey

Education is my biggest motivater on this Vegan Journey and makes me stronger each day.  I love what I am eating now and feel so much better.  They say the teacher will appear when the student is ready.   I am ready!

I am planning and discovering sources online, which contributes to my success.  Keeping a hand written notebook of recipes in my book bag is the best thing I have done since starting towards being a vegan.

What sealed the deal for me was watching "forks over knives" documentary. I wasn't feeling my best and was having a hard time getting myself back to normal after having my son, now almost two years old.  So I prayed for the answer, I knew it was diet that must change due to the dips in the day after a meals.  So out comes this movie and I was blown away, with the exact information needed to show me this is my truth and what I already knew that worked for me years ago.

So to say the least, I am obsessed with my new recipes that fits my taste buds!  I never know what I am going to make for my meals, somedays that works for me and other days I pick up the notebook.  It is called being armed! I also follow as much as possible the Blood Type Diet. Especially now.  I can't say it is a perfect road but one that has given me so much energy to keep up with my family, work and fun activities.

Amy's Organic makes frozen dinners (vegan), that I love!  My fav's so far, are the Enchilada's and their is a frozen cheeseless pizza!!!!!! that saves me.  I have eaten these for breakfast!  Too easy and so yummy.  I also try to add steamed veges & brown rice every other day.  I then add these to my frozen dinners. Almost forgot...I add pineapple to my cheeseless pizza :)   It works out great ;) I also found out from a friend yesterday, Amy's has another pizza that is wheat free...I am so excited! WE just never know what the day brings ;)  so make it a great one!

So where ever you are on your journey, honor it and live in the moment, no matter what is going on around you.  Treat yourself well, good food ~ makes good minds!  I still agree (for me) I am what I eat!  So today I wanted to share with you my frozen Rasberry Bliss w/ Cacoa Nibs! Raspberry Mousse! Only 4 Ingredients

This just came to me one day. With the weather warming,  I was looking for a refreshing cool dessert instead of another smoothie. I also intuitively felt I needed good fats in my diet. I haven't had very much lately. Avocados came to mind! Been on a strawberry kick, (not very high in sugar compared to many other fruits) so it will have to be raspberries this time. I am now ready.

I placed two avacodos, vanilla, stevia and frozen raspberries in the food processor w/ s-blade (remove the two seeds from the avacodo) and blend until smooth. I added about 1/4c of water...my berries were frozen...so adjust your water according and Enjoy!

I even had this for breakfast ;)
